With the rise of women owned businesses, we were interested to see which cities were best for female entrepreneurs. We looked at the city’s overall quality of life as well as the number of resources designed specifically for women in business. Here are our top 3 cities for women entrepreneurs.

Residents say Seattle allows for a great quality of life. The unemployment rate is low, and the median income is high. They have a high annual wage growth and are among the top highly educated cities in America. More importantly, many of those highly educated residents are successful female entrepreneurs. The business survival rate in Seattle is high compared to most cities, and organizations like CHEW (Capitol Hill Entrepreneurial Women of Seattle Washington) regularly organize events and panel discussions to encourage and promote women in business. The organization itself is made up of a network of women-owed businesses. Seattle also houses some of the world’s most successful tech businesses. Amazon, Google, and Microsoft have all set up shop in Seattle. While women make up only 30% of people employed by tech companies, women looking to break into the tech field may get their big break in Seattle.
